Hate the iniquity or the one working iniquity?

Psalm 5:5
The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.

Psalm 11:5
The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.

  3. You were a child of wrath and according to your verse selections, you were hated of the LORD if we are to take this in a two dimensional, literal manner. If this is the case, then how is it that you were hated by God as a worker of iniquity yet elect, foreknown as in the bosom of Christ from before the foundations of the world? Perhaps you could share the intent of your opening post for clarity?

  4. First, then, the question to you is does God hate anyone?

Second, then, if I were not under God's wrath before he saved me, in time, then he saved me from nothing. Therefore, His wrath did abide on me before he saved me and that is why I am so grateful that he saved me. Yes, he did indeed save me from something. Romans 5:8

This really goes to the issue of whether God loves everyone equally without distinction.

  5. This will then lead into Romans 9. I believe these two passages have been answered inconsistently by some people.
